Department Facilities

The Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) is located on the second, third, and fourth floors of Sieg Hall on the Seattle Campus of the University of Washington. The fourth floor of Sieg contains the HCDE main office and all faculty and staff offices, as well as the department's computing lab and lounge. The second and third floors of Sieg house several HCDE labs.

The department's main office is located in room 428 Sieg. HCDE students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use the refrigerator and microwave in the HCDE lounge, located in room 422 Sieg. There are also small meeting spaces in the lounge for student groups to meet and work on projects.

The HCDE conference room in Sieg 420 is available to HCDE faculty and staff for meetings related to HCDE projects; this space can be reserved by contacting the HCDE main office at 206.543.2567 or emailing hcdehelp@uw.edu. The phone number in the HCDE Conference room is 206.616.9810 and it accepts incoming calls as well as can make outgoing calls.

HCDE also has a small meeting room in 427 Sieg Hall. You may reserve this space by contacting the HCDE main office at 206.543.2567 or emailing hcdehelp@uw.edu. The phone number in this room is 206.685.3830.

HCDE also maintains educational labs for student and class use.
